* What books are eligible?
- Current editions of any title being used in DDP. (As long as we still need quanities!)
- Complete bundles of package-like titles (maps, cd's, etc.)
*What books are NOT eligible for buyback?
- Old editions (a list of editions not being purchased for buyback)
- Course guides, readers, and materials requiring a password
- Very "used" or falling apart books
- DDP produced videos and DVD's are to be returned to DDP directly - NOT TO THE BOOKIE!
*Retail prices and Wholesale prices
The Bookie will buyback as many copies of a title at retail buyback price (up to 50% of the new book price), as long as there is a budget for them.  Once the quantity for meeting orders has been reached, books may be bought at a wholesale price (up to 30% of a new book price).  Books that are not adopted for the current semester may not be eligible for retail price, but may be bought at a wholesale price.  We will proceed this way unless otherwise requested by the customer.
*What will we do with books that cannot be bought back?
- Ineligible texts (old editions, very badly "used" titles, etc.) that are returned to the Bookie for buyback will be recycled, and you will not receive payment for them. These titles will not be sent back to you unless you specify in your carton that you would like anything that is ineligible for buyback to be returned to you, at your expense.

*Deadline
You may return your books for buyback at any time. Please be sure to note BUYBACK clearly on the outside of your package. Also note buyback may not be processed during the "rush" periods (around the start of each semester).
*Payment
Your refund will be by check issued through The Bookie. It will be mailed to your home address. We will try to process buyback within 4 weeks. **Please note that buyback may not be processed during the "rush" periods.
*Procedure for sending your books to us for BUYBACK
- You do not need to call ahead to ask if it is okay to send books for buyback.
- You do need to ship them to us in a way that will allow you to track them! (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
- Please package them securely so they do not get damaged during transit.
- On the outside of the carton, simply note "DDP BUYBACK."
- Inside, please include an 8.5 x 11" piece of paper with the following information:

Phone Number
Student ID

***If you are an on-campus student, or a Distance Degree Student near a WSU branch campus, you do not necessarily need to follow the above procedures.  As our stores are linked, you may take your buyback books to be processed at any Bookie branch campus store.
